I Heard The Party from Massachusetts trio Gem Club is a deeply affecting, immersive piece of music, and while the video initially reminds us of the closing scenes of E.T., this is turned on its head by what comes later. Hardly Art's output is second to none right now.

Deep Time // Clouds
Hints of Cat Power and nods to new wave royalty Orange Juice and Elvis Costello abound on this simply brilliant pop song from Austin duo Deep Time, formerly Yellow Fever. Their eponymous debut record is out now on Hardly Art. I suggest you get some.

La Sera // Please Be My Third Eye
Katy Goodman is pretty much the most prolific musician around, gaining rapidly on Damon Albarn and Jack White in the accumulating bands stakes. Already having produced three LPs as one prong of Vivian Girls, a self-titled EP as half of All Saints Day, she's about to release a second full length as her most recent alias La Sera.
Tracks such as Never Come Around and Devils Hearts Grow Gold from La Sera's self titled debut were caressing exercises in 60s girl group pop with a fuzzy lining, Please Be My Third Eye, the first single to be released from the new record 'Sees The Light' on Hardly Art, is all about the punch. Retaining the sinister menace of the heartbroken, the sound is direct searing pop punk with a melodic riff reminiscent of The Strokes before they became all bitter and hateful. Grab the track for yourself below.

Seapony // Where We Go
Seapony trade in lo-fi twee love affairs and crisp C86 melodies that scream summer picnics, long country walks and holiday romance.
Ready to release their debut LP Go With Me on Hardly Art, Where We Go is a beautiful piece of melancholic indie that would break even the hardest hearted.
