Frankie Rose // Know Me

Frankie Rose and the Outs was one of our favourite records of 2010, an LP of effortless Shangri-La pop. This new track from Frankie, the first from new album 'Interstellar', marks a subtly ambitious progression through a few decades and into the 80s indie of The Smiths and The Pastels with added spectral production, a sound currently homaged pretty successfully by Blouse and Still Corners.

Have a listen below in anticipation of 'Interstellar', released on Slumberland Records on Jan 17th.

Still Corners // Cuckoo

Still Corners have been around for years now, but it's only now that we're getting a debut album proper, Creatures of an Hour, ready to go on Sub Pop and preceded by this, the band's first single for the label.

Cuckoo is an ethereal insight into a troubled relationship of obsession and jealousy, with Tessa Murray's vocals as fleeting as is her presence in the video. Dreamy, chilling, haunting, and other such ghostly adjectives apply. Watch and download below.

Still Corners // Wish

Having missed Still Corners due to their unreasonably early slot at 1234, No Action is determined to catch them at their upcoming series of London dates, which kicked off tonight at the Old Blue Last. The band will be launching their latest 7" at Stoke Newington's The Drop on August 20th, which will feature the hazy beauty of Wish, pitching them firmly as our answer to jj. Listen and watch its sun-bleached phantasy below.
